1. Extraction. Bentonite is mined open-pit from deposits selected for their montmorillonite content. The choice of working face defines mineralogical purity and, therefore, the adsorbent capacity of the resulting material.
2. Drying and grinding. The mineral is dried to reduce quarry moisture and ground to the particle size required by each application: micronised for animal nutrition (where accessible specific surface is critical), and coarser grades for sealing and drilling fluids.
3. Activation and formulation. Where applicable, bentonite is activated —sodium or acid activation— to enhance swelling or cation-exchange capacity. The animal-nutrition line is formulated as classic MIC OUT (pure hydrated aluminosilicates) or MIC OUT PLUS (with Saccharomyces cerevisiae as immune and microbiota support).
4. Packaging and traceability. The product is packed in 25 kg bags or 1,000 kg big bags depending on destination. Each batch keeps origin and grade traceability, a requirement for both compound-feed plant audits and the technical specifications of civil works and drilling.
